Hiding in the Open

‘Hiding in the Open examines one night in the life of two capricious twenty-somethings searching for direction. Good natured but rebellious Chase, fleeing domesticity, joins his lesbian party-girl companion Denny on a tour through Los Angeles nightlife. Abandoned by her fiance and desperate to escape the solitude of her apartment, recovering alcoholic Hazel embarks on a parallel journey of self-discovery punctuated by the beckoning of a whiskey bottle. It’s an emotional experience, finding poetry in it’s images and truth in the spaces we try to ignore.’ Starring Ryan Schwartzman, Turna Mete, Jennica Schwartzman, and Mackensie Marsh with original music by Jason Farnham. Written and Directed by Marc Hampson.

The Kings of Mexico

‘Four friends have recently started a new band together. They have been playing for months and anticipating their first upcoming show. The show is only two days away and the boys need to rehearse, but what is New Years without a giant New Years party. They have lots of friends along with friends of friends over and party all night. The next morning they drag themselves out of bed, for one last day rehearsal but can’t seem to bring themselves to actually get in the band room and play. Events from the night before slowly reveal themselves as fights break out and laughs are had.’

The Kings of Mexico was our very first feature film, was a whole lot of fun and served as our very own film school. It is currently in a lengthy post production sound and mixing phase. It has been edited and color corrected and we expect to see it into completion this fall. The first trailer can be viewed on the film’s page here.
